About Us

Not long after I learned how to knit I began creating custom colored yarn for my projects.  Oh boy! It wasn’t long before I created more than I would ever be able to use in a lifetime.  That was a problem!

I daydreamed of a place where I could just work on my creations all day. Somewhere that was in a gorgeous setting, mountains in the distance, fragrant breezes.  Somewhere that was large enough to store all my little lovelies until I could figure out what to do with them all. Piles and piles of glorious yarn!  I had this vision of a barn that was converted into a dye studio and …

And Barn Yarn was born!  Nope, I don’t have that pastural setting just yet…I’m workin’ on it, though, and hopefully Barn Yarn will really be in a barn someday. For now, I live the dream every time I am able to offer a new creation to you.

At Barn Yarn we believe that each project begins with beautiful yarn. For us, each skein is an adventure and a wonder to create. We hope to bring that adventure and wonder to your knitting and crochet projects.  It is our absolute pleasure to bring to you yarn that makes you happy so you can create amazing fiber arts that will be loved for generations!
